Austin Bowie's Trey Lindsey pours in 22 points to help power The BullDawgs past Round Rock in season opener

ROUND ROCK--- With both teams looking to get the season started with a win, Austin Bowie and Round Rock took to the court on Tuesday night. By the end of the first quarter it was obvious that Bowie would claim the season opener as they clicked on all cylinders on their way to a 69-35 win.

Round Rock never seemed in synq in the early going as Bowie got off to a fast start Trey Lindsey scoring nine points in the opening quarter. Round Rock managed just six points in the first quarter behind two three-pointers.

Connor Robinson helped keep the Bowie offense rolling in the second quarter with his seven points in the quarter. He totaled 13 points in the first half of play. Round Rock managed just eight point in the quarter with five of those coming from Austin Maniaci. Bowie had the game well in hand at the intermission with a 42-14 lead.

Round Rock continued to struggle from the field in the third quarter scoring just seven points while surrendering 14 points to Bowie to fall behind 56-21. Ayhab Farhat contributed five of the seven points for the Dragons while Lindsey and Mitch Anderson each scored six third quarter points for Bowie.

The fourth quarter was the only quarter in which Round Rock outscored Bowie and it wasn't by much as they put up 14 points to Bowie's 13. Ja Quan Johns scored six points in the final quarter for the Dragons as Bowie just looked to control the tempo and eat up the clock. Wade McMahon had a productive quarter for Bowie by chipping in six points over the last eight minutes of play to help Bowie claim the 69-35 win.

Bowie was led by Lindsey with 22 points and Round Rock was led by Johns with 11 points.
